Full & Associate Memberships
The Chicago Croquet Club offers full and associate memberships for the year. Both memberships include full use of the lawns, the clubhouse, and the club croquet equipment (wickets, balls, clips, deadness boards, mallets etc) as well as full access to the Chicago Croquet Club's membership directory to secure games with other members of the club.
The only difference between the Full and Associate memberships is that Associate members do not get keys to the facility, the clubhouse or the equipment lockers. Associate members will not receive membership in the United States Croquet Association. As such, Associate Members can play any time they know a Full member will be on the lawns. A Full member, on the other hand, can access the grounds, the clubhouse and the equipment lockers whenever they wish.
We encourage everyone to join as a full member, but associate memberships might make more sense for those who know they will only play when full members are around. For those of you with an eye on the tournament circuit, you will definitely want a full membership to get in the practice time. Also, if you like the idea of playing at your leisure with friends or family, then you will want a full membership.
Couple or family memberships are the equivalent of full memberships for each member of the couple/family.
